A shared paternal story
Our FamilyTreeDNA Y-DNA results connect our paternal line, R-FT194071, with people and family lines on the wider DNA family tree. These include Charles Darwin, Francis Crick, and Copernicus.
Y-DNA follows the father-to-son line. A connection means we share a paternal ancestor, sometimes thousands of years ago; it does not necessarily mean a close family relationship.
