Not only are we offering comfortable, affordable, centrally located self-catering accommodation in the heart of Drumshanbo, guests at Paddy Mac’s Holiday Bar will enjoy the unique private pub experience. The holiday pub can accommodate up to 16 people.
Paddy Macs is a family owned pub and has being welcoming guests for over 200 years and is now offering you the chance to immerse yourself in a genuine Traditional Irish Bar.
Recently renovated, this property is an ideal venue for family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries or indeed well-deserved weekends away with friends.
Enjoy a glass of wine by the open fire, pull your own pint or perhaps something from the top shelf is more your thing when you wish to unwind and relax. At Paddy Mac’s Holiday Bar we provide the optics, taps, cooler and gas. Glasses and tea/coffee making facilities are also provided. Guests bring their own kegs and other drinks to stock their very own private bar. The pub is also equipped with karaoke machine, jukebox, TV, fooball table, dart board and board games ,which leaves it the perfect destination for a family holiday .
Cooked breakfasts and/ or food for your occasion can be delivered to the holiday pub on request. Please inform the host if you are interested in this when you are making the booking
The house itself has 10 bedrooms (7 ensuite), 4 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room. There is a small back yard. Free parking is available in the car park adjacent to the holiday pub. For your security, cctv cameras are in operation in and around the house. As mentioned the holiday pub is located in the centre of Drumshanbo and we would ask guests to respect the other homes and businesses in the locality.

Rent the whole pub including 10 bedrooms of which 6 are en-suite for minimum 2 nights and have the craic with your family, friends or fellow team members. Our pub and accommodation is just perfect for gatherings of up to 22 people. With clean tidy rooms, a well equipped kitchen for self-catering and best of all your own pub to run. We supply all the gas. coolers, taps and accessories and give you the contacts where you can order your own kegs.We can also assitance with catering, taxis etc.

Drumshanbo is a lovely little town
Set on the shores of 2 lakes, Lough Allen and Acres Lake, Drumshanbo has a unique charm to it. With lively pubs and nightlife, pleasant walks along the canal or on the famous boardwalk.
Things to Do
You will never be idle on a visit to Drumshanbo with its multitude of activities for visitors of all ages. Within the town itself there is the food hub with the famous Drumshanbo Gin Distillery, Lough Allen Adventure Centre on the shores of the lake, Moorlands Equestrian Centre, Heated Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts and Childrens Playground. Nearby is the Arigna Mining Experience, Keadue which is the location of Turlough O Carolan’s final resting place, Drumcoura Equestrian Centre in nearby Ballinamore and for those fond of the great outdoors, take a hike on Sliabh an Iarainn on one of its many looped walks or a gentle walk along the canal to Leitrim Village on the award winning boardwalk or see the water from a different perspective with Stand Up Paddling.
The nearby town of Carrick on Shannon is only 15 minutes by car and with its variety of cafes, museums, galleries and riverside, its easy to spend an afternoon or two wandering about.
Leitrim is abundant with waterfalls with the spectacular Glencar Waterfall a 30 minute drive away, closer to Drumshanbo less than 10 minutes by car lies Scardon Waterfall, located on Kilronan Mountain. The views from Scardon of Lough Allen are memorable.
