Vincent Robinson

When Mr Robinson, who served with the Durham Light Infantry during WW1, emigrated to America in 1929 he took the pipes with him and there they have stayed for more than 70 years.

Vincent Robinson brought his grandfathers original 2 Drone Bagpipes here to Newcastle upon Tyne from Long Island, New York on the commemoration of the battalion’s colours being placed in St. Mary’s Cathedral in Newcastle
