Mary is identified as Mary Hopkins on her daughter Mary Timms’s death certificate. Her own certificate names her Mary McManus, born in Ireland, and records death at 232 East 22nd Street, New York, on 13 November 1878. Burial is recorded at Calvary Cemetery on 15 November.
Her certificate gives an age of 81 years and 3 months; the shared headstone gives 80 years. These are retained as a minor age variation. The approximate birth year is an estimate, not a located birth record. The tree’s proposed baptism on 3 January 1795 conflicts with that estimate; the Hopkins parentage attached to that baptism is not adopted here.
The supplied obituary transcription names Patrick Timms as her son-in-law and gives his address as 232 East 22nd Street. Her daughter’s certificate records the same address. “Rose Hopkins” was an erroneous tree note: the daughter’s certificate reads Mary Hopkins.
